ABVP calls for bandh on tomorrow

Demanding action against private junior colleges for collecting high fee, ABVP leaders on Sunday called for a bandh of junior colleges on Tuesday. They also demanded to bring an Act on fee control at a press conference. 


The other demands include - Intermediate courses admission through online; Government colleges must provide with basic facilities; Vacant lecturer posts numbering 4,000 should be filled with immediate effect; High Court sitting Judge conduct an inquiry on suicides of students and anti-social activities at corporate colleges; and OU vice-chancellor should be removed for a recent fire accident in which degree answer sheets were damaged. ABVP state secretary Ayyappa, central working committee member Raghavender, state working committee member Srihari, state joint secretary Ellaswami, ABVP OU president Suman, NEC member Praveen were present.
