BJP will form govt at Centre: BJP state president

BJP State president K Laxman on Friday said the party would form the government at the Centre on its own under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing party candidates who contested in the Assembly election, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was day-dreaming about playing an important role in the formation of the government at the Centre. “How can Chandrashekhar Rao play an important role in forming the government at the Centre when BJP will win sufficient seats to form the government on its own?” he wondered.

He said BJP would contest the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections on its own and urged party workers and leaders to work hard for victory in the local body elections. He said selection of candidates for the local body polls would be transparent.

Former MP Bandaru Dattatreya, former MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy, former Ministers DK Aruna and Vijayarama Rao, and leaders Chinta Sambhamurthy and Srinivasulu were present at the meeting.
